Lynn S. Burda

Services celebrating the life of Lynn S. Burda, 75, of Apex, NC, and formerly of Davenport, will be held at 11:30, July 15th, 2023 at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Heifer International. Ms. Burda passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Avendelle Assisted Living, Apex, NC. Lynn Susan Burda was born August 16, 1947, in Davenport, the daughter of Jacque “Jack” and Margaret (Daigger) Burda. She earned her bachelors in education from Illinois Wesleyan University and worked at American Airlines for 40 years in several capacities including flight attendant, gate agent, reservations, and employee training. She was an avid explorer who loved traveling with friends, meeting new people, live music, and reading. Lynn was also passionate about interior design and a mainstay at her church’s choir. Those left to honor her memory include her sons Seth Winterbottom of Atlanta, Georgia, Devin Winterbottom of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren Summer and Calvin; as well as brothers Brad Burda of Klamath Falls, Oregon and Brian Burda of Davenport, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Vernita “Verni” Jeffords.
