Lori Linville

Lori K. Linville, 62, a resident of Davenport, passed away peacefully Saturday,
March 10, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Lori passed on her own terms, showing her
fighting spirit until the end after a courageous twenty year battle with breast cancer.
Funeral services to celebrate Lori’s life will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the
Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Cremation rites will take place following
services. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Halligan McCabe DeVries
Funeral Home, downtown Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hayes
Elementary P.T.O. or to the family.
Lori was born on January 16, 1956 in Davenport, daughter of Max E. and Rosabelle
(Meincke) Linville.
Lori had a passion for dance; she started taking lessons when she was five. She realized a
dream when she became the owner of that same studio she took her first lessons in, Rae Dance
Studio in Davenport. She taught lessons with a zest for jazz and tap dancing. Lori closed the studio
in 1995.
She also enjoyed her work at Kitchens, where she was the gourmet food and coffee buyer,
retiring in 2009.
Lori’s passions were her family, baking with her grandchildren, and Walt Disney World trips
to Florida.
Lori is survived by her daughters: Dominique (Emmanuel) Nuci, Davenport and Tory
(Jason) Reyes, Bettendorf; grandchildren: Cruz and Nayeli Nuci and Michael, Raul “Coco”, and
Isabella; her brother, Gene (Mary Ann) Linville, Madison, Wisconsin, and her dear friends, Amy
Hoeg, Noreen Bushma, and Lissa Entler.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
