Lois E. Hinrichsen

Lois Hinrichsen, 78, of Davenport, passed away, Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

 Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded and a private family burial will be held. 

 Lois was born on September 2, 1945, a daughter of Peter and Grace (Henning) Hinrichsen.  

 Lois was the caregiver of the family and enjoyed helping others.  She was “Aunt Lois” to everyone and was the early bird to gatherings.   She was always the first to arrive.  She was full of energy and a fierce competitor when it came to cards, dominos, Bunko, Bingo, Euchre or Rummy.  In her younger years she found joy in bowling, softball and traveling, especially to Las Vegas.  She was also a member of the National Honor Society. In retirement she enjoyed gardening and her Thanksgiving trips to Kentucky.  

 Those left to honor her memory include her sister Rita (George) Zubaty; nephews Peter Zubaty and Bill (Jennifer) Zubaty; nieces Sherrie (Kenny McGinnis) Newman, Cindy (Eddie) Volquardsen and Jeni (Chad) Wagner and numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Carole DeVries.
