Davenport

Lisa L. Lewis Garman, 62, of Davenport, passed away peacefully at her home on October 31, 2026. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services.

Lisa Lee Lewis Garman was born on January 28, 1964, in Davenport, the daughter of Richard and Ruby (Padavich) Walters. As an actress and improviser, she was a vital part of the theater and improv communities in Cleveland and Chicago before moving to New York where she was a successful voiceover artist for many years. She was president of the Screen Actors Guild’s Chicago local and was instrumental in working toward the merger with its sister union, AFTRA. Lisa’s love for the Midwest brought her back to Davenport where she met Chris Garman and the two married in 2008. Her entrepreneurial spirit and resourcefulness led her to start the Quad City region’s first multi-restaurant food delivery service, Good2Go. She later obtained her Iowa Real Estate license and was actively working before falling sick.

Lisa had a knack for yard work. She enjoyed mowing, tending to her rose bushes and spending time outside. Lisa was extremely caring, willing to give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. She cared deeply about the people in her life and made sure they knew it; the many friends and family who loved her are heartbroken by her loss.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Chris; stepchildren, Emily (Andrew) Kurimski, Allison (Kellen) Cook, Olivia Garman (Michael Silas), and Chris Garman; step-grandchildren, June, Leo, Miles and Wren; and her stepmother, Jane Walters; and her beloved dog Lucius.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
