Linda S. Warren

Linda S. Warren, 78, of Davenport, died Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf surrounded by her family.

A memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. The service will be livestreamed by visiting Linda’s obituary at www.hmdfuneralhome.com Visitation will be held from 4 until 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Keeping with Linda’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Care and Share Program. 

Linda Sue Stolley was born on September 15, 1945 in Davenport, a daughter of Otto and Lula (King) Stolley. She was united in marriage to Roger W. Warren on May 31, 1969 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Davenport. They recently celebrated their 55-year anniversary. 

Linda worked as a nurse for many years in the Quad Cities, retiring as nurse manager at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in 2010.

Linda cherished her large family and enjoyed teasing them in her own way. She enjoyed trips to Florida and the beach as well as reading mysteries and watching the History and HGTV channels. She also loved her Kendall Jackson Chardonnay! 

Those left to honor her memory is her husband, Roger, daughter, Stephanie Warren, grandson, Evan Warren, all of Davenport; siblings: John “Jack” Stolley, Mansfield, Texas, Gary Stolley, Moline, Chritine McMahon, Davenport, and Deborah (David) McClanahan, Wichita, Kansas, and a sister-in-law and best friend, Barb Stolley, Bettendorf, and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Warren, her parents, and siblings: Murial Arnold, Mary Wilson, Edward Stolley, Patricia O’Brien, and Jacqueline Stolley. May they rest in peace.
