Linda Jones

Linda J. Jones, 79, of Davenport, passed away, Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at MercyOne Genesis, Davenport.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held immediately following the visitation at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.

Linda was born on July 17, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa, a daughter of Leo and Jeanne (Cummings) Fell.

Linda was employed by Peterson’s, Brammer’s Cabinets and later retired from John Deere Davenport Works. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and tending to her flower garden. She was a wonderful women with a great sense of humor. She was proud of her cars and enjoyed her leisurely drives. Linda was great at making crafts and her basement was a testament to her creativity. She also enjoyed ladybugs, daisy’s and old westerns. Above all she loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

Those left to honor her memory include her children Brien (Jessica) Jones and Jeffrey (Kristen) Jones; grandchildren Jayson (Emily) Jones, Kaitlyn (Kevin) Peppel, Breanna (Chase) Pfab, Zachary Jones and Kaila Jones; great grandchildren Emmah, Kylie, Kinnick, Haydin, Nolan, Dallas, Corbin, Jon, Jon and another on the way; siblings Donna (Lee) Gipson and Debbie (Vern) Miller; and two bonus sons Todd Wymer and Mark Boore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Butchy Wellendorf and Sharon Lorsung, daughter-in-law Wendy Jones, and her best four legged friend Duffy.
