Les DeLay

Les DeLay, 61, a resident of Davenport, died Thursday, April 20, 2023 at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Davenport. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 25^th from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Les was born November 6, 1961 in Davenport, the son of Ray and Sadie (Collier) DeLay.

Les was a “jack-of-all trades”, working as a mechanic and maintenance technician at various jobs. He enjoyed hunting, target shooting, sitting in and working on his cars, golf, and was very artistic.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Jenee Madsen of Pleasant Valley, Kelly Lovell, Kayla DeLay, and Maicie Nguyen, all of Davenport; his better-half, Mai Nguyen; grandchildren, Sierra, Kaden, Adalee, Makhia, Darnell, and Kaylynn; sisters, Donna (Jay) Sweet and Michelle (Dan) Banaszek.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Patrick; and sister, Connie.
