Larry Morse

Larry Morse, 76, of Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly of Moline, Illinois, passed away, Thursday, November 13, 2025 at his home.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 pm, Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. The Celebration will continue at 6:00 pm after the visitation at Wunder-Y, 2316 16th Street, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Larry was born on October 1, 1949 in Princeton, Illinois to Wendell and Francis (Simon) Morse. He was united in marriage to Patricia Harju on April 4, 1971. From this union they were blessed with two children, Travis and Joshua. They later divorced.

Larry was a District Manager for Frito Lay for many years. After retirement he enjoyed playing golf with his friends. He was known for his Morse Masters tournament that was held each year. He also enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears. Known as Pa to his grandchildren, he was a wonderful grandfather who showed his support in many ways. He later moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine and beaches and make many new friendships.

Those left to honor his memory include his children; Travis Morse and Josh (Mariah) Morse; grandchildren James, Caden, and Samantha; sister Linda Willis; niece Moriah; nephew JJ; and many wonderful friends and golfing buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Denny.
