Lawrence James Lindle was born September 7, 1944, in Muscatine, to Mathias “Matt” and Margaret (Oostendorp) Lindle.
Larry was one of a kind. He owned and operated Larry’s Auto Shop for many years. He could restore a classic car and then step up to the microphone as an Elvis impersonator. He brought joy and smiles wherever he performed, complete with the charm, moves, and that unmistakable voice.
An excellent marksman, he loved spending time outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was also a fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Larry loved his large family.
Survivors include his siblings Steve (Michele) Lindle of Princeton, IA, Janet Gray of Davenport, Judy (James) Tully of Bettendorf, Karen (Earl) Kintziger, Marlene Polich, Linda (Larry) Barber and Debbie (Rick) Stichter, all of McCausland, and Denny (Nancy) Lindle of Camanche; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill and Gary Lindle, and sisters-in-law Joan and Joyce Lindle.
