Kimberly Valle, born on March 1, 1960, in Colona, Illinois, passed away at the age of 65 on June 1, 2025, in Davenport, Iowa, after a courageous two-year-and-six-month battle with cancer. She left this world surrounded by her loving family in her home, a testament to the deep bonds she cherished. Kimberly was a proud graduate of United Township High School, Kimberly was a remarkable woman known for her selflessness and big heart. She worked as a certified nurse's aide and also gained respect as a skilled carpet installer. Her passions included gardening, crocheting, and cheering for her favorite team, the Chicago Cubs.
Her love for her family was boundless. She was preceded in death by her son Joshua Harrison, her parents Bernice Pitcher-Rettig and Robert Pitcher, and her brother Danny Pitcher. Those left to honor her memory include her devoted husband Rudy Valle, her five children—Rudy JR, Jody, Santana, Travis, and Megan Valle—and ten cherished grandchildren: Jazmarie Valle, Beyonca Russell, Jordan Russell, Joey Russell, Kayleigh Edwards, Aviana Wolf, Travis Valle Jr., Chace Valle, Jentson Valle, and an eagerly anticipated unborn granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Iowa Cancer Research in her honor, supporting the fight against cancer that she so bravely faced. A celebration of her life will be held at 1pm on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. The family will receive friends from noon until time of services at the funeral home.
Her legacy of love, courage, and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
