Keith E. Erickson

Keith E. Erickson, 84, of Davenport, formerly of Rock Island and Reynolds, Illinois passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

A celebration of Keith’s life will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Long Grove. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Keith Elmer Erickson was born on September 24, 1939 in Davenport, Iowa to Elmer and Dorothy (Asman) Erickson. He was raised on the family farm and attended country schools (4^th-8^th grade) and graduated from Davenport High School in 1957. He married Patricia Ann Spiess on July 5, 1958.  She preceded him in death on February 2, 2018.

Keith worked for 30+ years for Northwestern Bell and AT&T, retiring at 48 years of age. He then worked for area funeral homes including Halligan-McCabe-DeVries for the next 30 years.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or St. Anthony’s Care and Share Program.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Brian Erickson, Davenport, Colleen (Tom) Maxwell, Todd (Kathy) Erickson, all of Reynolds, Illinois, five grandchildren, Ryan (Courtney) Maxwell, Jacob (Sydney) Maxwell, Brandon Erickson, Amber (Carl) Brown, Katie Brightwell, seven great-grandchildren, Brody Maxwell, Addisyn, Ryleigh, Reese, Wyatt Maxwell, Oliver Brown and Luna Mae Erickson; brothers, Tom Erickson and Mark (Barbara) Erickson all of Davenport; and a niece and nephew, Leah (Jesse) Chandlee and Nathan (Quinn) Erickson.

In addition to his wife, Keith was preceded in death by his parents. May they rest in peace.
