Kaye Prince, 71, of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis, Davenport. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of her life will be held from 3-6pm on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 1401 N. Perry St, Davenport. Memorials may be made to Kings Harvest Pet Rescue.
Adelia Kaye Guy was born November 4, 1954, in Davenport to John Wesley and Ruby Edith (Kelly) Guy. She was united in marriage to Randall “Phil” Prince in 1987 in Davenport.
Prior to her retirement she had been a CNA and a phlebotomist.
She lived her life with sincerity and conviction and was honest to a fault. She was the kind of person who would give it to you straight whether you liked it or not, but her words were always rooted in care and genuine concern. Because of that honesty and wisdom, many people sought her out for advice. Her guidance, loyalty, and steadfast nature made her a treasured friend and confidant to many.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, riding horses and motorcycles, animals, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children Paul (Sheri) Mathias of Muscatine, Heather (Robert) Nunez of Davenport, Heath (Rachel) Palmer of Montour, IA, and Brianna (Sawyer) Bartlett of Davenport; grandchildren Dillion Mathias, Brandon Mathias, Jessie Read, Michelle Read, Hayleigh Nunez, Ryleigh Nunez, Javier Uresti, Elizabeth (Michael) Mechem, Blake (Cinthia) Palmer, Ayden Palmer, Christopher Palmer, Aurora Bartlett, and Jackson Bartlett; great grandchildren Aydin Read, Dillion Mathias Jr, Perseus Nunez, Adaline, Emilio, Annalise, and Roman Mechem; sister Jodene Geiger of Waterloo; and best friend LaDonna Fountain of Davenport..
She was preceded in death by her father John Guy, mother Ruby McCright, sisters Donna Kulp, Ruby McCartney, Nancy Rogers, Deloris Hopper, and brother Eugene McDaniel.
