Kathryn E. Mackey

Kathryn E. Mackey, age 93, of Davenport, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 in Davenport. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, on Sunday, September, 18, 2022 at the Northside Baptist Church, Davenport. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Kathryn was born on June 19, 1929 in Cantril, IA, to Keith and Fayreh (Longworth) Dearinger. She was united in marriage to Edward Mackey on June 11, 1947 in Burlington. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2003. Kathryn worked for many years at IRC in Burlington and then at the Burlington Medical Center. After her husband passed away she was able to use her many attributes as the secretary of Calvary Baptist Church, a position she truly loved.

Survivors include her sons, Donald (Judy) Mackey, David (Susan) Mackey, Douglas (Terri) Mackey, and Dalend (Brenda) Mackey; 15 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Kathryn was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda a sister, and a brother.
