Kathy devoted over 40 years of her life to working as a florist, where she shared her creativity, compassion, and eye for beauty through her arrangements. Her work marked countless celebrations and offered comfort during life’s most meaningful moments.
Kathy was born in Chicago and then moved with her family to Overland Park, KS, then on to Omaha. This is where she graduated from high school and met her husband. Together Kathy and Randy had two boys that were the pride of her life. She attended florist schooling during her early years of marriage in Omaha.
She enjoyed fishing with Randy (where she ALWAYS out fished him) and the outdoors where she could sit and sun, but most of all she enjoyed her home and being a mother. She worked full time from the time the boys started school.
She had spent the last few years of life dealing with progressively worsening spinal stenosis, which ultimately left her as a quadriplegic during the last 3 years. She had been living with this debilitating disease for over 20 years in the care of her loving husband Randy and a team of skilled nurses.
