Kara A. Plambeck Linville, 49, of Davenport, died Friday, November 15, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals following a brain aneurysm. She was surrounded by family at the time of her passing.
A memorial service to celebrate Kara’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Humility Homes or the Iowa Donor Network.
Kara Ann Plambeck was born on December 30, 1974 in Davenport, a daughter of Richard L. and Evelyn A. “Evie” (Ellis) Plambeck. She graduated from West High School in 1993. Kara was united in marriage to Brian Linville on September 20, 1997. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2022.
Kara worked for Casey’s General Store at 53rd and Division. The donuts and breakfast burritos she made were incredible.
She enjoyed antiquing and shopping and listening to music, especially U2 and Pearl Jam.
Survivors include her children: Brittany (Sepe) Kalhor, Rock Island and Brendan Linville, Davenport; grandchildren: Amir, Emrik, Carver, Autumn, Brody, and Addison; parents: Richard and Evie Plambeck, and brothers: Matt and Chad Plambeck, both of Davenport, as well as her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Irv and Alice Plambeck and Robert and Geraldine Ellis.
The family would like to thank the neurosurgeons and ICU nurses and staff at the University of Iowa Hospitals and clinics for all the loving care they shared with Kara.
