Julie Jurkowski-Keller, 64, of Davenport, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis, Davenport. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of her life will be held from 4-6 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Memorials may be made to Ruff Life Dog Rescue of Illowa.
Julie Ann Wehde was born February 20, 1962, in Maquoketa, to David “Frederick” and Sheryl Ann (Dodds) Wehde. She was united in marriage to Dwight Keller in 2019 at the Vineyard Church in Davenport and he preceded her in death in 2021.
She was a veteran of the Air Force.
Prior to her retirement she had been an IT Consultant for the Stefanini Group. She had also worked at the Arsenal in the mid 90’s.
A breast cancer survivor, she faced life’s challenges with determination and resolve. Known for her stubborn streak, it was that same steadfast spirit that carried her through difficult times.
She was generous with her time and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandsons, whom she adored beyond measure. Their laughter and company brought her immeasurable happiness, and she cherished every moment they spent together.
Survivors include her beloved sons, Bob (Kelsey) Jurkowski of Bettendorf and John (fiancée Anna Sebastian) Jurkowski of Elwood, IA; grandsons, Jack, Wyatt, and Theo Jurkowski; and beloved boxer service dog, Duke.
Additionally, she was preceded in death by her mother Sheryl Fletcher, father Frederick Wehde, and brothers David and Richard Wehde.
Julie's last words were “I love you Jack, don't cry, I'm so happy to be your grandma and I'll always love you and your brothers”.
Dear Jesus, I pray that you watch over my babies.
