Julia Carol Sokol

Julia Carol Sokol, 76, of Davenport, passed away, Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Trinity Bettendorf. 

Cremation rights have been accorded. 

Julia was born on March 3, 1947, in Long Island, New York, daughter of Anthony and Margaret (Anderson)  Sokol. 

Julia enjoyed puzzles, watching General Hospital and bowling in her younger years.  She loved NASCAR and never missed a Sunday race.  She also found joy in her collection of Tigers and Elvis memorabilia.

Those left to honor her memory include sons, Peter Wuorio, Jr., Florida and Paul (Melissa) Wuorio, Davenport; granddaughter Rain Wuorio, Davenport; siblings Peggy Ellis, White City, Florida, Gladys Panuska, West Palm Beach, Florida and Edward Anderson, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; niece Tracy Terry; great niece Lexie Owens; and special friend Pat.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her son John Sokal on September 9, 2014.
