Judy Rose Noel

Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Judy Noel, 80, of Davenport, will be 10am Thursday, September 29, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Davenport.  The service will be livestreamed and may be viewed, and remembrances left, by visiting www.hmdfuneralhome.com.  Burial will follow in National Cemetery, Rock Island.  The family will greet friends in the church gathering space from 9am. until the time of the Mass.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or St. Anthony’s Care & Share Program.

Mrs. Noel died Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Aspen Rehab & Health Care, Silvis, IL

            Judy Rose Wheeldon was born November 28, 1941, in Maquoketa, the daughter of Charles and Leona (Reistroffer) Wheeldon.  She was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Noel on April 30, 1960, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport.  He preceded her in death on May 2, 2017.

            Judy was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing cards, gaming, and fishing with her husband.

Those left to honor her memory include her children and their spouses Karen (Ben) Olvera, Moline, IL, Ken (Kathy) Noel, Raleigh, NC, Charles (Jackie) Noel, Kansas City, MO, Susan (Dyronn) Overholt, West Concord, MN, grandchildren, William and Samuel Olvera, Heather (Brian) Needham, Holly (Jeremy) Mumford, Joshua Noel, K.C. Noel, America Fontenot, Luke Noel, Derrikk, Lyranna, Alexandra, Serenity, Greyson, and Chrysanthemum Overholt, great-grandchildren, Andrew Olvera, Annika and Kathryn Needham, Addison Mumford; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Russell Noel in 2005, and parents.
