Judith “Judy” Stogsdill, 81, of Moline, was called to Heaven, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Allure of the Quad Cities. She was surrounded by family and friends.

 

Judy was born November 16, 1942, in Davenport to Kenneth and Icyl (Gayman) Christensen. Both parents proceeded her in death. Also, proceeding her death were her son Daniel Stogsdill, sister Sandra Ulrich, longtime companion Bill Woodard, and her beloved dogs, “Joey” and “Korkie”.

 

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Darcy Dye, son, Jack “Buddy” Stogsdill, of Galva, IL and a half-brother, Arthur Suman of Tecumseh, MO. She leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

 

Judy worked as a supervisor in the finance department for the Department of Defense at the Rock Island Arsenal for 22 yearsprior to her retirement in 2002. She later spent many years caring for loved ones.

 

Judy was an independent, hardworking, and immaculate housekeeper.  She enjoyed playing cards, reading, sipping tea on the back patio in the summertime, trips to the casino, and spending time with her family.

 

A visitation celebrating the life of Judith “Judy” Stogsdill, 81, of Moline, will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport.  The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
