Judith "Judy" Fleetwood

Judith “Judy” Fleetwood, 78, of Davenport, died Monday, May 5, 2025 at MercyOne Medical Center, Davenport, IA.

The family will greet friends from 1 until 5 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Cedar Street Inn, 810 Cedar St, Davenport, IA. Memorials may be made to the family to establish a memorial at a later date for Judy. Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded.

Judy was born December 10, 1946, in Davenport, a daughter of Melvin and Catherine (Herbert) York. She was united in marriage to Clarence Fleetwood on December 10, 1962 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport. They shared over 62 years of marriage.

Judy was a homemaker until she and her husband became the owners/operators of Cedar Street Inn for nearly 33 years. She cared very deeply about her patrons, they became a second family to her. Judy loved to socialize with people and be active on her feet.

She enjoyed going on cruises with her family, spending time in the sun, and feeling the sand on her feet while on the beach. Judy loved her Yorkie dogs and Elvis. Above all she loved her family and cherished the time spent with them. She will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Bill (Eileen Helbig) Fleetwood, Blue Grass and Todd (Christine) Fleetwood, Davenport, ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren, six surviving siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammy Sue Fleetwood in 1963, a daughter, Laurie “Sissy” James in 1999, a daughter-in-law, Deb Fleetwood, her parents, and ten siblings.
