Judith "Judy" DuFault

Judith “Judy” DuFault, 84, of Bettendorf, passed away, Friday, March 13, 2026 at MercyOne Medical Center, Genesis East.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Judy was born on April 23, 1941 in Charles City, Iowa, a daughter of Raymond and Mary (Ruggles) Sherbino.

After high school, Judy graduated with an Association degree from Palmer College. She was adventurous and especially loved her time in Hawaii. She enjoyed going to yard sales collecting knick-knacks and singing karaoke. Judy had a beautiful voice and sand with her mother’s piano accompaniment and in church. She was an excellent cook and made delicious meals for all of the holidays. Judy was very strong in her faith and found joy in reading her Bible to her grandson. She also enjoyed meeting new people and the conversations that would follow. Above all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished the time spent with them. She will be deeply missed.

Those left to honor her memory include her children Anthony (Maria) Bombella, Lisa (Joel) Hansen and Roberto DuFault; grandchildren Mellissa (Jay) Sohn, Stephanie Hansen, John Congrove, Cassandra (Rudy) Delgado, Nina Rivera, Angela (Jon) Congrove Kenyon and Nash Fox; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister Elizabeth “Libby” (Lee) Amaral; 7 loving stepchildren of the DuFault family; and close loving friend Mike Pugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Stanley Sherbino, granddaughter Tamea Gibbs and longtime friend Carol.
