Obituary

Joshua Goble, 46, passed away at his home on August 1, 2026.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home.

Josh was born on September 6, 1979, in Fontana, California, to Michele Ploehn and Keith Goble.

From an early age, Josh was endlessly curious. As a child, he was known for taking things apart just to figure out how they worked, and more often than not, putting them back together again. That curiosity grew into a remarkable talent for fixing, tinkering with, and salvaging just about anything. If something seemed beyond repair, Josh often found a way to give it new life.

Josh had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor that could catch people off guard and leave them laughing. He was known for his quick wit, playful personality, and ability to make those around him smile in his own unique way. While he could be stubborn and determined, those who knew him best also knew he had a generous heart and was always willing to lend his knowledge or a helping hand.

He enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course before discovering a passion for disc golf. He was an avid fan of sports, faithfully cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears while also following the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs. Josh enjoyed playing video games, cooking for family and friends, and gathering around a backyard cookout with the people he cared about most.

Above all, Josh valued friendship and the simple moments spent with those closest to him. He leaves behind countless memories that will continue to bring smiles and stories for years to come.

Josh is survived by his mother Michele and his dad Michael Ploehn; his biological father, Keith Goble; his sister, Kelly Goble; his half-brothers and half-sister; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain in our hearts forever.
