Joseph Sidney Richards

Joseph Sidney Richards, 72, a resident of Davenport, died Thursday, July 28, 2022 at The Ivy at Davenport.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2022 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Handicapped Development Center.

Joseph was born July 2, 1950 in Davenport, the son of Delbert and Jane (Bonham) Richards. Throughout his life, he worked at various places including Handicapped Development Center, McDonalds, Railroad Salvage and Pete’s Heating and Air Conditioning.

Joseph enjoyed traveling around Davenport, attending family reunions, and staying with his cousins. He loved to eat and play “slug bug”. Joseph loved riding his bicycle and going fishing.

Those left to honor his memory include his siblings, Greg (Connie) Richards, Kim (Diane) Richards and Diedra Richards, all of Davenport.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Kitty, Phillip, Steven, and Delbert “Danny” Richards, Leetta Bakoylis and Barb Laing.
