Memorial Services for Joanne (Fort) Crews, 65, a resident of Colona, Illinois, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Henry County Humane Society. Joanne passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at her home with her husband by her side.

Joanne was born August 15, 1952 in Davenport, daughter of Claire (Owens) Thiel and Richard Fort. She was united in marriage to D. Alan Crews on May 7, 2004 in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Joanne cherished her family, she was a loving wife and mother, and adored all of her grandchildren and her canine companions, Tabby and Tootsie. She loved taking family vacations, especially to Arkansas, dancing, sitting on her deck and had the ability to talk your ear off, hardly letting you leave without a “oh, one more thing!” She also enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, and was especially gifted at making crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Alan, Colona, children: Tammy (John Guerdet) Watters-Guerdet, Eldridge, Tracey (Jason) Woodford, Davenport Tara Tripp, Davenport, Todd (Neha) Evans, North Little Rock, Arkansas, stepchildren: Heather Crews, Davenport, David (Alicia) Crews, Davenport, and Rachel Crews, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; step-children from a prior marriage: Linda (Tim) Kuehl, Davenport, Shane (April) Evans, Rudy, Arkansas, grandchildren: Kayla, Nicholas, Tyler, Sutherlin, Ashlee, Austin, Connor, Mykell, Alexus, Mya, step-grandchildren: Carson, Taylor, Kayden, Keith, and Kenzington; four great-grandchildren: Laikyn, Abel, Kolten, and Azaleah,sisters: Jacque (Dave) Lohmann, Davenport, and Janeen Young, Bryan, Texas, and mother-in-law, Barbara Ann Crews, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Carolyn Jean, and father-in-law, Durward Crews.
