Jo Ann Brown

Jo Ann Brown, 66, of Davenport, passed away, Friday, August 29, 2025, at home.

Jo Ann was born on August 16, 1959, in San Pedro, California, the daughter of Kenneth and Laurel (Woollacott) Doran. She was united in marriage to her best friend, James Brown, at Vanderveer Park in August of 2000.

Jo Ann loved horror movies and all things Halloween. She enjoyed sitting on her porch each year and passing out candy to trick-or-treaters. In Addition to Halloween, she also thoroughly enjoyed Christmas and loved displaying her mini-Christmas village homes. Her family meant the world to her, especially her grandchildren. Together, she and James loved attending local fairs and listening to country music.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, James; children, Joyanna Neeper, Christina Ridgway, Steven Lindquist, Daniel Lindquist, and Cynthia King; grandchildren, Cody Neeper-Burris, James Lindquist, Derek Ridgway, Hailey Ridgway, Obie Miller, and Jack King; and her loving companion cat, Loki. She is also survived by Ken Doran.

She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew, mother, Laurel, and brother, Daniel.
