Jermaine Gardner, 41, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2026. His passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Jermaine was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend whose love for his family ran deep. He was known for his humor, his strength, and the way he could bring laughter and light into any room. Jermaine had a personality that people naturally gravitated toward — quick-witted, caring, and unforgettable. Though life brought its share of hardships, his love for his children and family remained unwavering.
More than anything, Jermaine cherished being a father. His children were his pride and joy, and his love for them was evident in the way he spoke of them and supported them. His legacy will continue through them and through the many memories shared with family and friends.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his children: Jermaine Gardner Jr., JaNiyah Gardner, Jermiliyeon Gardner, Jayden Gardner, Ja’kavion Gardner, and Malaysia Penny; his loving sisters: Rochael Reid, Terisa (Reid) Wright, Erica Coleman, and Junetta Boone; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Jermaine was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jermilyn Gardner; by his mother, Margaret Coleman; his grandmother, Catherine Coleman; and his aunt, Eloise Eaford.
Though Jermaine’s earthly journey has ended, the love, laughter, and memories he gave to those around him will never fade. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day.”
