Jean E. Mack

Jean E. Mack, 90, of Davenport, passed away, Saturday, August 20, 2022 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am, Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport.  Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM, Wednesday, August 24. 2022 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the Handicapped Development Center.

Jean was born on April 13, 1932 in Iowa City, Iowa, daughter of Wilbur and Ellen (Noel) Huntington.  She was united in marriage to George Mack on November 30, 1957.  He preceded her in death on March 30, 2013.

Jean was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, and attended Christian Experience Weekends.  In her younger years she was very athletic and enjoyed golf, tennis and baseball.  She also found joy in boating, watching birds and the fisherman in her family clean the fish.  Above all else she loved her grandchildren and the time she spent with them.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, David (Sunny) Mack, York Town, VA, Gina Simon, Hawaii, Roger Mack, Milan, IL, and Merilee Peeters, Davenport; 7 grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings Ben (Ronalee) Huntington, Davenport, and Vera (Larry) Bennett, Davenport; and sisters-in-law Martha Huntington and Sandra Huntington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Dick, Edward, Marie, George and Walter.
