Janice Ruth White was born May 7, 1931, on the family farm in Crawfordsville, IA, the youngest of seven children born to Milton and Maude (Moreland) White.  She was united in marriage to Jerome E. “Jerry” Schebler on August 5, 1952, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA.  He preceded her in death on March 1, 1979.

While primarily a homemaker, she had also worked for International Harvester-Motor Truck Division where she met Jerry and later for Rockingham Drug and the US Postal Service.

Janice loved family get togethers and always made enough food to feed an army.  She also loved her “fur babies” and was a pro at retail therapy.

Those left to honor her memory include her children Connie Costello of Springfield, IL, Linda (Kim) Gillespie of Davenport, Sheila (David) Struckman of Donahue; grandchildren Justin (Kelly) Costello, John T. (Brittany) Costello, James R. Costello, Rebecca “Becky” (Wayne) Hains, Allen Gillespie, Jerome Hughes, Cory (Jesse) Hughes, Keri Struckman, Andrea (David Halligan) Willard; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and cat “Wally”.

In addition to her husband Jerry, she was preceded in death by granddaughter Angela Gillespie, grandson Bryan Struckman, siblings David White, Mary Ethel Bouche, John White, Donald White, Jane Nau, Myrla White, son-in-law John R. Costello, and sister-in-law Patricia Geist.

The family would like give a special thank you to the staff at Clarissa Cook Hospice House who made Mom comfortable in her final days.
