Janice Lynn Davison

Janice Lynn Davison, 75, lovingly known as Jan, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, surrounded by her husband and daughters.

A Visitation will be held on April 10, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. with burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.

Jan was born February 16, 1951, in Des Moines, IA, to James F. Brown Jr. and Christiana Joan Lewis. On Christmas Day, 2019, she wed Michael Ryan, embarking on a chapter of deep love and companionship.

Jan was a beacon of warmth who cherished simple joys: summer days in her top-down convertible, live music, and dancing. A dedicated member of Our Lady of Victory and a selfless blood donor, her faith and service were her foundation. Above all, she lived for her family, sharing an especially deep bond with her granddaughter, Amy.

Janice is survived by her husband, Michael Ryan; her children, Kathleen (John) Earnest, Douglas (Kristi) Hendrickson, Carol (Juventino) Ponce Jr., and Shane (Erin) Ryan; grandchildren Amy, Alexander, Alyssa, Maximo, Sophia, Crystal, Charli, Ash, and Serena, and another grandchild arriving in late Spring; her brothers, James Brown III and Jeff Brown; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved feline companions Angel and Harley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Joan; her infant son, Stephen; and her beloved cat, Sitka.
