Janell R. Gonyier

Janell Renee Gonyier, died March 15, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Janell’s life will be held in the Community Room at the Friendly House, 1221 Myrtle Street, Davenport on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 5:30-8:30pm.

Janell was born in the Osteopathic Hospital in Davenport, on December 9, 1967. She was raised in the West End of Davenport until the age of 14 when she moved to Clinton, Iowa. She married at a young age and had three children; Larry Allen Boutwell, Jr. of Wisconsin, Rocky Boutwell and Brandon Boutwell of Clinton. Janell was divorced and remarried to Jerry Meier of DeWitt and remained married for some 32 years. After the marriage dissolved, she moved to Langly, Oklahoma and worked for the Tyson Chicken Hatchery until her death. Janell also had two grandchildren. 

Also surviving Janell are her brothers and sisters, Molly Wells, Eucha, Oklahoma, Cheryl Mooney, Clinton, Karla Phillips, Tina Neyens, and Thomas McCleave all of Davenport, Melody Potter, Arab, Alabama, Eugene Gonyier, Savanna, Illinois, Daryl Gonyier, Clinton, and Sheryl Washburn, Baxter, Kansas. 

Janell was preceded in death by her parents and older sister Marsha McCleave.
