Jane A. Dohrmann

A Memorial Mass for Jane A. Dohrmann, 81, of Bettendorf, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass in the gathering space at church.  Memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Parish.  Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Jane died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Genesis East, Davenport.  

Jane Ann Dohrmann was born on June 20, 1942 in Davenport, a daughter of John L. and Helen M. (Schilling) Dohrmann.  Jane enjoyed a long career in the banking industry where she was very customer oriented.   She worked for Northwest Bank, Davenport Bank, Fiserv, and retired from Orion Bank in Moline in 2008.

Jane was a lot of fun to be around.  She had a great sense of humor and was such a generous, caring, and kind soul.  Although she never had children of her own, her niece and nephew were treated as such as well as their children.  Jane enjoyed people, which was reflected in her customer service during her career and she cherished many lifelong friendships. When Jane wasn’t spending time with family or friends she enjoyed painting and gardening.

Those left to cherish Jane’s memory are her sisters and favorite brother-in-law, Judith Dohrmann, Bettendorf and Jackie (Jim) Matthys, Davenport; favorite nephew, Tony (Nikita Fleming) Matthys, Davenport; favorite niece, Lori (Garret) Meierbachtol, Cedar Rapids; and her favorite great-nieces and great- nephews: Maria, Sophia, Jack, and Matthew, and a special uncle and aunt, Bill and Selma Schilling, Bettendorf.  

She was preceded in death by her parents.  May they rest in peace.
