James Sours

Graveside services for James A. Sours, 91, of Buffalo, IA, will be 12:30pm, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. Visitation will be 11am until Noon at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport.

Mr. Sours passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Home, Davenport.

James Alfred Sours was born May 29, 1926 in Bettendorf, a son of James R. and Maggie (Busterer) Sours. He was united in marriage to Barbara J. Warfield in 1949.

He had worked as a welder for Bee Line

He made friends easily and enjoyed talking daily on his CB radio. He enjoyed listening to country western music and played the drums in several bands in a career spanning over 60 years.

Survivors include a special niece, Imogene Erbst, Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers; LeRoy, Russ, Howard, Harold, and Harry, and sister Irene Daniels.
