James Francis Malloy

James Malloy, age 70, formerly of Davenport, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Iowa Veteran’s Home, Marshalltown. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, with visitation from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown.

Jim was born on October 1, 1952 in Carroll, IA, to Clarence and Catherine (Lawlor) Malloy. He graduated from Carroll Kemper High School in 1970. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy serving from 1972 to 1975.

Survivors include sisters, Anne Gordon of Louisville, KY, Maureen (K.C.) Beddow of Felton, CA, Mary Jo (Niklaus) Gehler of Florence, KY, Casey (John) Hunt of Norman, OK; brothers, Bob (Patti) Malloy of Davenport, IA, Jerry (Linda) Malloy of Aptos, CA, and Joe (Dorothy) Malloy of Louisville, KY. And many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Day.
