Harold Lee Traywick, a cherished member of the Davenport community, passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 66, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 22, 1958, in Davenport, Iowa, Harold was known for his warm personality and unwavering kindness.
Visitation for Harold will be held on August 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, in Davenport.
Harold dedicated many years of his life to working as a laborer for the Sivyer Steel Company in Bettendorf. He was a man of great character, making everyone he encountered feel at ease with his welcoming nature and remarkable sense of humor. Harold had a deep love for family time, particularly during the holidays, which were filled with laughter and joy.
He married his beloved wife, Karen Holcomb, on February 14, 2007, creating a bond that filled their lives with love and companionship. Together, they raised a proud family, which includes their children: Harold Traywick Jr, Mario Traywick, Harold Burge,Teomas Traywick, Andrea McCann, Ashley Holcomb, Amber Holcomb, Whitney Holcomb, and Kshawna Holcomb. Harold also delighted in his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather, enjoying the time spent with a great host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Harold is survived by his wife, Karen Traywick, his sons, Harold Jr., Mario, Harold (Hazel), and Teomas, his daughters, Andrea, Ashley, Amber, Whitney, and Kshawna, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members including his brother Fred (Helen)Thomas, Lloyd (Cynthia) Offutt and his sister Shirley Miller, and his cousin Alberta Martin. He will also be remembered by a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, all of whom carry cherished memories of his loving spirit.
He was preceded in death by his father, Amos Traywick, his mother, Nellie Mae Roberts, and two sons, Harold Traywick Jr and Shane Traywick, Uncles Bobby Thomas Harold Thomas and a Aunt Teeny as well as his grandson, Zymiere.
Harold Lee Traywick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion to family will continue to resonate in the hearts of many.
