Harold B. Hall, Jr., 84, a resident of Davenport, died Thursday, May 5, 2022 at his home.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Davenport. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family with arrangements.
Harold was born January 24, 1938 in Andalusia, Illinois the son of Harold, Sr. and Vera (Pearson) Hall. He attended various schools in Illinois, graduating from Sherrard High School. Harold enlisted in the United States Army 1957-1959, serving in Turkey. Upon returning home, Harold worked as a millwright for ALCOA, retiring after 34 years of service.
Harold enjoyed hunting and fishing and belonged to the Quad City Bass Club.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Mary Lou; children, Michael Hall and Patricia (Todd) Long, both of Davenport, and Susan (Howard) Aschoff of Middletown, New York; grandchildren, Elizabeth Long and Samantha (Jordan) Thomas; brother, Dean (Kathy) Hall of Moline; sisters, Mary (Rick) Toom of Bettendorf and Donna (Danny) Gresch of Sherrard, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David; brother, Gary Carlson; sister, Waneta Orvis Mosier; and his beloved chocolate lab, Bruiser.
