Harlan Charles Flagel

Harlan Charles Flagel, 79, of Davenport, passed away on March 4, 2026, at his home. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Harlan was born on November 27, 1946, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Marvin and Lucille (Miller) Flagel. He worked as a custodian for the Davenport School District and at JI Case. He married Dorthea Powell, and together they spent 40 years. She preceded him in death on December 3, 2025.

In his spare time, Harlan loved NASCAR. He enjoyed traveling to races and spending time with his friends. You could always catch him building his model cars and tinkering. He enjoyed a quiet life with Dorthea; they loved spending time together. He tended to about 30 dairy cows and took pride in farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dorthea.
