Geoffrey S. Myers

Funeral services celebrating the life of Geoffrey “Geoff” Myers, 72, of Albany, IL, will be held at Noon on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo, IA, with military honors. Visitation will be from 10am until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to your favorite animal shelter.

Mr. Myers passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at his home, following a brief illness.

Geoffrey Scott Myers was born June 11, 1953, in San Francisco, to Harrell and Janet (née Scott) Myers. He was united in marriage to Sharon Childers on December 26, 1981, in Davenport.

Geoff was an IT manager at Rock Island Arsenal for many years before retiring in 1999. He then became a government contractor for Metters Industries.

Geoff loved watching Star Trek, keeping his home well-organized, animals, and most of all spending time with his family.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; daughter Amy (née Childers) Price and her husband Dan of Albany; grandchildren Olivia (Taylor) McLaughlin of Hampton, Trevor “Scott” Henry of Albany; great grandchildren Clara and Rylee; brothers Brad Myers, Marshal (Rebecca) Myers of Batesville, IN; sister Joanne Myers of Stockton, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Morris Bell.
