Gary Lee Lindle

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Gary Lee Lindle, 88, of Davenport, will be held at Noon on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove, IA.  Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Long Grove.  Visitation will be from 10am until time of services Thursday at the church.   Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mr. Lindle passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Bettendorf Health Care.  Arrangements by Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport.

Gary was born October 7, 1935, in Muscatine, a son of Mathias “Matt” and Margaret (Oostendorp) Lindle.  

Gary was in the car business for 60 years and did everything from turning a wrench, body work, restoration, sales, and owning a car lot. 

Survivors include his children Dale Lindle, Jeff Lindle, Joanne Hugaert, Kathleen Hagberg, Cynthia (Kevin) Fisher, Lisa Curtis, Mark (Michele) Lindle, Carolyn (Denzel) Thornburg, Angela (Brian) Volpone, Kristie (Brian) Holland; 36 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; siblings Janet (Richard) Gray, Judy (James) Tully, Karen (Earl) Kintziger, Marlene (Ed) Polich, Larry Lindle, Dennis (Nancy) Lindle, Steve (Michele) Lindle, Linda (Larry) Barber, Debbie (Rick) Stichter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill Lindle, and son James Lindle.
