Francisco "Hawk" Cavazos

Celebration of Life for Francisco “Hawk” Cavazos, 58, will be Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Credit Island, Shelter # 2, 2200 W. River Drive, Davenport.   A gathering of friends will be held from 11:00 am until the time of the celebration at Credit Island.  Memorials may be made to the family.

 Hawk passed away, Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport.

 Hawk was born on December 6, 1965 in Shamrock, Texas the son of Lazaro and Angelina (Vasquez) Cavazos.  Hawk was united in marriage to Marie Tofanelli on July 1, 2005.

 Hawk loved playing baseball, singing at the Native American Drum, he loved listening to music and learning to play the guitar.

 Those left to honor his memory include three daughters and one son, Victoria Mendoza, Samanthia Kond, Alexis Hahn, and Paul Cavazos, his siblings, Grace Lujan, Gloria Palomares, and Rene Cavazos.

 The family would like to thank the Staff of Genesis East for the care that they provided Hawk in his final days.  As well as Fr. Rudy from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Tom Biasi and the Davenport First Responders.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Cirio Cavazos, Lazaro Jr. Cavazos, Carlos Cavazos, Baldmar Cavazos, Candelario Cavazos, Jose Cavazos, Rose Saldana, Martha Enriquez, Maricela Cavazos.
