Eugene "John" Koos, Jr.

Eugene John Koos, Jr., 75, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Private graveside services will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to his family.

John was born on October 7, 1950 in Burlington, Iowa, son of Eugene and Helen (Samons) Koos, Sr. He was united in marriage to Alice Labarge on July 5, 2003.

John enjoyed watching TV and country music. He also found joy in building models. John loved taking pictures and has memories saved in the many photographs taken over the years. With is wife, Alice, he could often be found on the weekends going out to eat after church, followed by a scenic drive. John was also an animal person. He adored his animals, especially his dogs Harry and Nibbles, and his cat Pumpkin. Above all he loved his friends and family and cherished the time he spent with them.

John is survived by his wife Alice; stepchildren Thomas Ragusi, Catherine Felco and Robert Ragusi; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
