Elvina "Sue" Robbins

Elvina “Sue” Robbins, 90, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at The Ivy at Davenport. Cremation has been accorded and burial will be at a later date in Davenport Memorial Park.

Elvina May Eccleston was born October 22, 1934, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of Archibald and Charlotte (Knight) Eccleston II. She was united in marriage to Robert Thomsen Sr in 1953 in Baltimore. She later married William F. Robbins on July 24, 1982, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA, and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2017.

Sue was a homemaker and enjoyed retail therapy.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters Susan (Larry) Bushur of San Antonio, TX, Ginny (fiancé Dr. James Lucas) Ruplinger-Thomsen of Davenport; son Robert “Bob” Thomsen Jr of Muscatine; grandchildren and great grandchildren Anthony (Jamie) Bushur and their children Noah, Alexis, Luke and Blake; Tori (Trent) Ericson and their children Colton and Caden; Tricia (Ty) Trotter and their children Kaizer, Lance and Tori; Thomas (Sara) Bushur and their children Mackenzie and Scarlett; Nicholas (Jennifer) Ruplinger and their children Dion, Isabella, and Lincoln; Michael (Julie) Ruplinger and their children twins Hannah and Helena, and Luke; great great grandchildren Alaia and Jaxson Bushur; and sister-in-law, Shirley Eccleston of Baltimore, MD. 

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by brother Archibald Eccleston III.
