Ellen Elaine Pullen

 Ellen Elaine Pullen, 78, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rock Island.

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2023 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Milan. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. with visitation to follow from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Ellen was born September 3, 1944 in Davenport, the daughter of William and Ellen (Conboy) Gluba. She married Edwin Wayne Pullen, June 13, 1964. He preceded her in death, August 14, 1996.

Ellen was a homemaker, spending several years taking care of her family. She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, coloring, playing bingo, and riding her bicycle. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Ambrose in Milan where she sang in the church choir. She cherished her time spent with her children, grandchildren, and family.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Christine (Jeff) Geuther of Bloomington, Illinois, Pamela (Melvin) Rosenthal of Rock Island, Patricia (James) Brown of Bettendorf, and Laura (Edward Rhodes) Pullen of Rock Island; grandchildren, Bryan, Brandon, Christopher, Jamie, Samantha, and Jayden; great-grandchildren, Alexia, Dexter, Atlas, and Nyle; siblings, Mary Jo Messmer of Bettendorf and William Gluba of Davenport.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Pat.
