Elaine Adams

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Elaine J. Adams, 76, of Davenport, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

Elaine died on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf surrounded by her family.

Elaine Janice Wuestenberg was born on November 3, 1948 in Davenport, the fourth of ten children born to Hubert and Irene (Martens) Wuestenberg. She graduated from North Scott High School. Elaine was united in marriage to Arnold L. “Arnie” Adams on January 13, 1968. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2012.

Elaine had worked as a school bus driver for over 20 years and then as a customer service representative at APAC.

Elaine enjoyed traveling, doing puzzles, and watching old westerns and movies. She also enjoyed playing cards and was highly competitive, it didn’t matter if you were family or friends, she played to win! Elaine cherished every minute spent with her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory are her children: Wendy (Marty) Munoz, Davenport and Kevin (Dawn) Adams, Riverdale, Iowa; grandchildren: Alex Munoz, Ryan Munoz, Cameron Adams, and Jade Neri; siblings: Janice Dawson, Walcott, Dorthea “Dottie” (Pat) Condon, Bettendorf, Roger (Connie) Wuestenberg, Dixon, Iowa, Cheryl Gorman, Davenport, Judy Strohbehn, Walcott, and Ron (Angie) Wuestenberg, Milan, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Arnie, Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Clyde, Kenny, and DeWayne. May they rest in peace.
