Dylan died unexpectedly Friday, December 19, 2025 in Davenport.

Dylan was born on March 5, 1996 in Ft. Carson, Colorado, a son of Joyce L. (Bennett) and Monte L. Valentine. Dylan graduated from Davenport North High School in 2014.

Dylan had worked at Dittmer’s Service Station in Davenport for five years before taking a job at Target in Davenport for nine years. Most recently, he went to work for Billion Auto in Clinton as a lube tech and was cross training in the parts department.

Dylan was an incredible uncle to his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed making people laugh and also “poking the bear”, trying to get a rise out of you or to make you think. Dylan’s brain was full of useless knowledge and loved to talk sports, especially about his Green Bay Packers or THE Ohio State University. He also enjoyed playing video games, his “baby” his 2018 Ford Fusion Sport, was the “pack leader” of his canine pals, Rudy, Spirit, and Shadow.

Those left to honor his memory are his parents, Joyce and Monte, both of Davenport; siblings: Whitney (Rob) Lackender, Tiffin, Iowa, Matthew Valentine, Lockridge, Iowa, Mitchell (Brianna) Valentine, Bettendorf; nieces and nephews: Rylie, Coleman, Oakley, Nakoa, Lyla, Beaux, Liam, and Lucas; grandmother, Willa Wilson, Winfield, Iowa, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as special friends, Will and Liz Greer, and his Godson, Brayden Greer.

Dylan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Mary Bennett, Lloyd Earl Valentine, and Terry Wilson, an aunt, Ann Potter, and cousins, Steven Choate and Jodi Bennett. May they rest in peace.
