Douglas Thorington

Douglas Scott Thorington, 63, died Saturday, April 5, 2025 at his home in Davenport. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Douglas was born March 4, 1962 in Davenport, the son of Jakie Lee Thorington and JoAnn Murphy. During his career he worked as a drywall contractor. He also served eight years in the Illinois National Guard.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, JoAnn Stansberry; children, Tony (Amanda) Thorington and Tesha Thorington; several grandchildren; brothers, Dennis (Tonni) Thorington and David Thorington; sister, Kimberly (James) Gaskey; and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father Jakie Lee Thorington and step-father, Lee P. Stansberry.
