Douglas Eugene Carlson

Douglas Eugene Carlson, 70, of Davenport, passed away, Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport.

Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be made to the family. 

Douglas was born on April 17, 1953 in Rockford, Illinois.  He was united in marriage to Corin Jaworowski on October 12, 1974.

Douglas enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing and having a cold one.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Pittsburg Pirates fan.  He was a very funny man and would tell you how it was.  There was no sugarcoating.  Doug loved working in the yard and vegetable garden making them pristine.  Above all he cherished his grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them. 

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Corin; children Erica (Matthew) Evans and David Carlson; grandchildren Taeler, Zoe (Bryce), Daeton, Matisen, Matisyn, Olivia and Dustin (Kirsten); great grandchildren Camdyn and Hayden; and many siblings, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Meyer and Delores Lutz and siblings Debbie, Russell and Butch.
