Doug Smith

Doug Smith, III, 54, of Davenport, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 1:00-4:00pm at The Blue Grass Community Center.  Burial will be held at a later date in Nashwauk Cemetery, Itasca County, Minnesota. 

Doug was born on August 15, 1968, son of Alfred Doug Smith, II and Louise Aleta Harrison.  He was united in marriage to LaTisha on April 23, 2023.

Doug spent many years as a plumber and was very handy.  He was always busy working on something.  Many times it was to help someone.  He had a big heart and was always there to help those in need.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, LaTisha Riste; daughters Kayla Smith and Emily Riste; granddaughters Karliey Swank and Melanie Shelby; brother Lee (Michelle) Smith and sisters Leslie (Don) Schlie and Carmen Yovnee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Juan and Steve Smith.
