Donna Terry

Donna Marie Terry, 72, of Davenport, passed away, Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Genesis Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Adventure Christian Community Church, 6509 Northwest Blvd., Davenport. Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. The family requests please dress casual and wear you favorite Heartland, Hawkeye, or Chicago Bears shirts. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. 

Donna was born on March 9, 1952 in Davenport, a daughter of Clifton Ray and Kathleen Rita (Trainor) Murphey. She was united in marriage to Steven Allen Terry on June 21, 1975. 

Donna worked at Griggs Music and later at Sears Manufacturing. In her younger years she was a tom boy and enjoyed playing sports with the boys. She also enjoyed camping with family and fishing. Donna loved watching Heartland, western movies, Halmark Channel, Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball, especially Caitlin Clark, and the Chicago Bears. She found joy in playing cards and if she didn’t win she cheated. She was a very sweet and caring person that would do anything for anybody. She always had your back. She maintained a close relationship with her Sears Manufacturing Girls, Jane, Joan and Barb over the years. Above all she loved her family and spending time with them at family reunions. 

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Steven; children Joesph Terry and James Terry; grandchildren Colton and Emri Terry; siblings Sharon (Bill) Murphey Bailey, Susan (Dave) Murphey Huntley, Thomas (Donna) Murphey and Juanita “Nita” Murphey; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Kenneth Terry, and niece Christine Bailey Lane.
