Donald L. Grondo

Donald L. Grondo, age 67, of Davenport, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. According to his wishes, cremation will take place with a memorial mass at 10:00am, on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Davenport. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, or Café at Vine.

   Donald was born on July 15, 1955, in Bethesda, MD, to Donald and Marlene (Jepsen) Sekharan. He was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army in Germany. Donald enjoyed watching Chicago sports teams, Cubs, Bears, and Bulls. He was also a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, and also enjoyed volunteering at Café at the Vine. He also worked out faithfully and was a lifetime member of the YMCA.

   Survivors include his lifelong companion, Kim; children, Dawn Feddersen-Poindexter, and Lucas Feddersen; Kim’s daughter, Amanda (Scott) Courter; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dante Grondo, Dennis Sekharan, and Dave Sekharan.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Dean Grondo.
