Donald M. France

Memorial Services to celebrate the life of Donald M. France, 87, a resident of Davenport, will be at 11am, Saturday, March 18, 2023, at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Davenport.  Per his wishes, the rite of cremation was accorded, and inurnment will be in the St. Alban’s Prayer Garden.  Memorials may be made to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Davenport.  Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Don passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Clarissa Cook Hospice, Bettendorf.

Donald Mac France was born January 13, 1936, in Davenport, IA the son of Leonard Ralph and Frances Lucille (Wooder) France.  He married Pauline Ann Miller on August 1, 1959, in Ecclesfield, England.  She preceded him in death on June 12, 2021.  Don served in the US Army from 1957-1963.  Don was a member of Fraternal Trinity Lodge #208, Mohassan Grotto #22, and Davenport York Rite, Davenport.  Don loved history, the Russian language, and chatting with his lodge brothers.

Those left to honor Don’s memory include his children; daughter, Kirsten Nelson; sons:  Steven and David (Ginger) France; sister: Shirley (Richard) Toyne; brothers:  Ronald (Arlene) France and Robert (Kim); sister-in-law:  Barbara Miller; 7 grandchildren:  Barbara, Amy, Sean, Stacey, Michael, Daniel, and Gabriel; and 3 great-grandchildren:  Corey, Hannah and Drake.
